Agriculture helps to meet the basic needs of human and their civilization by providing food, clothing, shelters, medicine and recreation.

In today's fast-changing world, the ever-growing challenges of limited resources, rapid climate changes and preservation of environment demand a new generation challenges to changing cropping pattern, poor rainfall, draught condition, soil erosion, toxic substance so there are need of sustainable agriculture by using organic pesticides.

Entomology is the important division of agriculture as pests are creating major problem to agriculture produce. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the key parameter in controlling the pest to produce pesticide free food grains, fruits & vegetables

The Department of Entomology has been consistently working towards the goal to produce highly skilled and scientifically oriented students through flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs with cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries.
